LA Ink... why not Toddlers and Tiaras?

Every time I look at entertainment news I keep noticing that reality shows are being taken off the air such as LA Ink and Kate plus 8 but what about Toddlers and Tiaras? Surely that disturbing and scarring show should be the first to be cut!!

If the disturbing images of children prouncing around as adults isn't enough to put you off, their parents acting as their pimps surely should. I mean at the end of the day those parents are giving birth to children purely for monetary purposes. Children should be allowed to be children instead of performing for some pageant whilst running a fever. No one in their right mind could say that those parents are good parents, when they look at their beautiful daughter they only see ways on improving their appearance and performance.

Those children get fake lashes stuck to their eyes, weaves sown into their heads, "flippers" stuck into their mouth and endless hours of practice every day. People speak out against animal cruelty, so why not speak out about this?

The worst thing is the results, if anyone has ever watched that show, they will know what I mean. When the winners are crowned you should immediately look to the "losers." These children look heartbroken and they can't understand why they didn't win. Am i not pretty enough? What's wrong with me? Those children may or may not grow up with insecurities but by enrolling them in these pageants you are guaranteeing these insecurities. A child should be made to feel loved and special, and not made to feel that they will never measure up to the winner.

Most people have felt bad about their appearance at some point in their life but by that time most of us know how to deal with such insecurities. A five year old child does not possess such knowledge yet and I feel it's cruel to subject them to such harsh criticism from such a young age. Well not sure where all this came from but I had to speak out on this stupid show.. if only my voice was enough to get a TV network to cut this show next instead of good reality TV show... HA!
