What's your favourite word?
/For as long as I can remember I have always had this great love for film and how could I not? I loved watching movies when I was happy, sad, sick, in love and even lovesick. Movies are an amazing distraction when everything seems to be going wrong in life, they are also extremely entertaining when things are going great.
There is nothing more important than one's imagination, especially at a young age. Thanks to movies I always had the sense that I could accomplish anything and be anything I wanted to be. That being said, this can also be seen as the problem with movies since we grow up expecting life to be just the same as that in the movies. All you girls our there know what I am talking about, how long did you wait for your Noah to build you your dream house? Rom-Coms made any girl hold out for the right guy, the romantic sensitive soul with that bad boy streak we all dream of too.
I grew up watching Disney films, something I still love till this day and look forward to sharing this with younger generations. As a child, Mary Poppins was the movie I would watch when I was out sick and it always worked a treat. I love how vast movies can be and all the different kind of genres there are. No matter what mood you find yourself in, there is a movie to match!
Sleepovers with friends, first dates, a night out with your best friend or even an evening with your family, movies are always a great companion to such events. You can laugh, cry, scream and hold your breath in anticipation of what's to happen next.
As you can see, I am an absolute movie addict which is why I want to tell you about a show you should watch if you are just as hooked! James Lipton is an American writer, actor and dean of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York. He is also the wonderful man responsible for the television series Inside the Actors Studio. James Lipton has had almost every actor you can think of on this show since its debut in 1994. I recommend watching past episodes, especially the ones starring your favourite actor or actress. For me, this was Al Pacino! I was lucky enough to see the man himself in Dublin.
The best part about this show is near the end, James Lipton asks each guest 10 questions, 10 extremely interesting and entertaining questions. I decided to answer these questions myself and would love to hear what your answers would be. What are these questions you ask? Here goes:
Favourite word - Fuck
Least favourite word - Moist
What turns you on - Cologne
What turns you off - Hairy chests and backs
What sound do you love - Uncontrollable Laughter
What sound or noise do you hate - Bones clicking
What is your favourite curse word - Fuck (as you can see I truly love this word)
What profession other than your own would you like to have - Musician
What profession would you not like to be in ever - Exterminator
If heaven exists what would you like to hear God say to you when you reach the pearly gates - You can't gain weight here so eat all you can!
I managed to locate a video on YouTube of the best answers from this show so far, hope you enjoy this little gem!
