Thank you Sesame Street and friends for a great childhood!

As I was updating my work wallpaper to the Muppets I realised how fortunate I was to have grown up with great kid shows. I look at what's available for kids nowadays and I pity them since they are stuck watching crap! Stuff like Barney, the teletubbies or worse Peppa pig.

Today I decided to list my favourite shows growing up with a little clip on each, those of you who are my age will definitely enjoy this trip down memory lane.

This list has to start with Sesame Street, I absolutely loved this show as a child and I'm so happy it is still on TV nowadays, still addressing current issues such as being homeless, a single parent or born with AIDS. Besides being educational it is also an amazing show to grow up watching.

I could never stop watching the Muppets and also the muppet babies, although I must say I tried watching a Steve Martin episode of the Muppets recently and it just wasn't the same. Nevertheless Muppets are just too awesome not to mention. I definitely saw every episode of the Muppet babies, that show was too cute and I'll never forget the day I collected all the Muppet Baby toys from McDonalds.

Another show that I made sure I watched each week was Rainbow Brite. That show had everything in it a little girl needed. Thinking of this show I also automatically think of My Little Pony and how I HAD to own all the ponies as a child. Wow, this blog is bringing back so many great childhood memories.

I guess I could go on naming loads of shows to you like the pound puppies, Punky Brewster, The Care Bears and who could forget ALF and so many many more! So I'll stop there. Enjoy the rest of the videos and if you are feeling a little nostalgic head on to youtube and watch an old episode of your favourite show as a child!
